What is life inside a juvenile detention center like?

Don't worry, I haven't committed a crime so I'm in no danger of going. I'm just curious. We see a lot of pop culture and reality TV depictions of life inside adult facilities, so I couldn't help but wonder what juvie is like. Has anyone here ever been?
