Can i sue a guy for selling me a car that does not work by the way the car is used?

the guy sold it to my girl and he told her it was a CLEAN title now the car no longer works we got info that the car was crashed so it does have a salvage title i went to the lot to discuss and the guy told me to,leave called the cops and told them that i had a gun.... what should i do pls help im loosing over 14000 dollars can i sue or what are my options pls help
