Why did the early Christian Church depict "Jesus" as the Greek Sun God Helios/Apollos?

Heilos/Apollos is a recreation of the Babylonian sun god Shamash and Ra of Egypt. There is nothing original about Greek and Roman mythology and their defiantly is no connection to Jesus.
