Where can i get a decent price car?

i have gone to all the car lots in town.. (mcallen texas) and i am going to San Antonio this weekend... where can i get a good condition 6.500$ car? all i want is an economical and sporty/modern car. actually i dont mind if it isnt sporty, but still i mind for the clean looks.. i could only get salvaged on craiglist so thats not an option. anyone has a personal reference? thx
