Given the Norse Religious myths about the criteria to enter Paradise, was Loki a god of Evil?

Don't know that much about it, but it seems that he was at times portrayed as the trickster who played seriously wicked tricks on others that could be very harmful to their wellbeing. Other times, he was portrayed more like an enemy to some of the others.
