Where can i get an insurance appraisal report?

I just bought a salvage title car and i have to inspect my car through the state but they need an insurance appraisal report or insurance adjusters report. The problem is that i bought this from a dealer that bought this car from an auction. I cant ask the previous owner to go to their insurance and print one out because i dont know the person. does anyone know how or where else i can obtain one for a car? seems like the rmv and the insurance company cannot help me just by looking up the VIN number.
